For this article I will use Google AdWords as the example, as it is the most well-known and effective PPC program. When you do a search on Google for most keywords, you will notice ’sponsored results’ at the very top and right side of the page. PPC advertisers who pay a set price every time you click on their link created these ads. The beauty of this method is that your ad can literally be placed on the front page of Google for any keyword you choose. You get to set the price you are willing to pay per click and the maximum price you choose to pay each day. The more you pay the higher in the results your ads starts out at. But, Google rewards you for well-written ads as well. If your ad is click on more than other competing ads, they will raise your ad in the results and charge you less than what you bid. This is a great technique for promoting your small business web site or even promoting affiliate links.

As I mentioned above, these are only two of many ways to make money at home on the Internet. You can literally start making money in the next few hours with a combination of these two methods. I would advise you, however, to seek a little more guidance before jumping right in. With just a basic knowledge of these two techniques, you could be making money at home on the Internet in the very near future.
