Making money online may not sound like an easy task, but thousands have done it and succeeded. Some people have made a decent living as virtual assistants by acting as secretaries for offshore bosses. Other people have made money from writing and doing research for others. Still others have put up their own online businesses, and have made money by buying and then selling things, or by advertising on their websites, or by even selling their goods and services online.

Although thousands have made money and succeeded, there are still thousands who have tried it and failed. This can come about because of many different factors, such as a poorly planned business, too much time spent dilly-dallying instead of working, and too little capital put into a company. If you are interested in putting up your own business online, or if you are interested in making money online, there are a few avenues by which you can ask for help.

Start off by consulting the people who have succeeded. There are many websites online that will allow you to read about how others have made money online. Look for reputable websites that showcase articles containing tips on how you can make your own money through the World Wide Web. Stay away from articles that make overblown statements; if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.

You can also visit online forums or join online groups of people who conduct business online. Be up front about your novice stature: ask for help, and be candid about things that you know nothing about. The most successful people in the world are those who are willing to help other people out; the less willing, also known as the more selfish ones, are probably those who will not succeed in business in the long run.

When you get online, be sure to check regularly at these forums and groups, because they can be valuable sources of personal connections. Before you build your business, you also want to build your network, so you can start this online by looking for prospective clients or even suppliers. You can even use the forums and groups as places to ask questions and test your market: ask if your proposed products or services would be lucrative, and if it would be good to venture immediately into the online market. Chances are, you’ll get your feasibility report from your peers, and almost immediately.

If you are hoping to put up a business, you will need to talk to your local Better Business Bureau, which will give you the instructions on what forms you need to fill out, what requirements you need to fulfill, and what things you need to do in order for your business to be approved. In line with this, you may also need to talk to your local bank and ask about opening an account exclusively for your profits and spending.

If you are putting up an online business, you will need an online store, or at least a website that will showcase your goods and services. You will therefore need the help of a web designer. Talk to web designers about what your site might need: make a list of the things that you want people to see on your site, as well as the things that they can do (such as buy things from you, contact you, or store personal information in an online database). This will give you a good idea how much you need to spend on your website. You need a lot of help before you go into an online business. You need to succeed where some have failed, so if you are hoping to sell something online, make sure you have all your bases covered.

So you want to get started and make some money online? Great!

Here are three steps you need to follow to make sure you get the best out of the internet as a source of income.

Step 1 – Research
Now I know it doesn’t sound like any fun, but working online is just like starting any other business, you have to know if their is demand for your product or service. In simple terms, do people want what you have to offer?

Now, luckily for you, there are tools available to help you research your market in 10 minutes or less!

Search online for the Google Keyword Tool

Type in the keywords you think your target market will search for and take a look at the results. The higher the figures, the better.

Step 2 – Research the products
You have a few options at this stage. You can choose to sell your own product if you have one, or sell somebody elses.

The way this works varies depending on whether the product chosen is “physical” (something that needs to be posted out) or “digital” (something which can be delivered online).

If you go the physical route, you’ll need to make sure you work out how much postage and packing is going to add to the cost of your product. Don’t have a product? You could try dropshipping. There are plenty of companies that will happily post out orders on your behalf, which means you can make money without stocking or even seeing the product!

I’d personally recommend the digital route as it is far less hassle, and conventional items such as Books, DVDs etc are increasingly delivered online, rather than by post. If you have an eBook, Music, Video or any other digital product to sell then you’re all set.

If you’re just starting out you probably won’t have your own product. But hey, that doesn’t mean you can’t make money online! There are many companies online that will provide you with an entire database of products you can instantly start selling online, and earn commission on.

With the internet being the way it is, everything is tracked, so you get paid for every person you send through who buys. All this without any high overheads or startup costs!

Take a look on google for clickbank.

So, you’ve got your market and you’ve found a product, what next?

Step 3 – Get traffic
So you’re set and ready to go, and you can’t wait to see some money in the bank. The key here is to get as many people as possible who are interested in your market to see your product and be given a chance to buy.

This is where many people starting out tend to fail and give up on the internet as a valid source of income.

Okay, so how do you get traffic?

  • PPC – Pay per click
  • Write a review
  • Write an article
  • Make a video
  • Use social media e.g. facebook/twitter
  • Start a blog

Some of these options will cost you nothing but a few minutes of your time, whilst others will cost you money. If you’re starting out I’d recommend sticking to the free options. They will make you money if you use them properly!

Writing an article or a review of the product you intend to send and posting it on your blog and getting other bloggers to share it on their blogs/facebook/twitter you’re likely to drive a lot of traffic to your page and hopefully make some sales!

There are ways to generate money online but many people who go online for the first time find out that it is not as easy to make money online as they thought it would be. In this article, i will outline one of the most effective ways in which you can make money online as a newcomer. The best part of it is that it is totally free.

What happens to a newcomer, is that you start looking on the internet for things to sell as an affiliate but what ends up is that you start spending a tremendous amount of money educating yourself as to how to market on the internet. Thereby you end up frustrated and give up the exercise of making money online in despair.

And yet, it is not difficult to make money on line. To be honest you do not need a website nor do you really need any product of your own. Perhaps the simplest and an easy way to generate money online is with writing online articles with reputable ezine directories..

Here is how you start if you want to make money online. First head over to Clickbank and take a look at the many products waiting for you to make money online. Pick a product that you really like – for example ask yourself the questions like if you were searching the internet would you buy a product like that? Would the website provided by the vendor grab your attention if you were surfing the web? Is the product something you would find easy to market? These would enhance your ability to make money online.

Once you have picked products that you like to make money online then what you do is write high quality reviews recommending the product in any one the reputable online ezines – remember this method is not only free but as you will find out will bring you massive traffic which is perhaps the most important thing when you want to make money online.

For example if you want to promote on line jazz music then you could write an article on t “The top 10 jazz performers of this century”. Keep the article short and in this case mention each of the artists providing a brief description on them.

Most articles directories have what they call a Resource Box, or About the Author box. This is your opportunity to shine. Tell your audience about yourself and without sounding like a sales pitch provide the link with which your audience can see what you have to offer.

Once again your call to action is to make the reader click on the link without being a sales pitch. Hopefully, the sales page that you provide is good enough to close the deal. What could be simpler in trying to make money online.

Last but not least remember this is what happens when you do publish material in online ezines. What does happen is that online marketers like webmasters, bloggers and newsletter publishers search these directories. They come across your article, for, they may post your article on the net in their websites, or publish it in their newsletters – this is when you get massive traffic that allows you to make money online. This is because they will have to include your resource box with the link to your website.

Your article gets widely read as it now has the potential to be featured on many thousands of websites or newsletters. Remember you did not spend a penny on the exposure.

With this method one single article can return thousands of dollars monthly – what could be easier when it comes to making money online.
